If you’re a returning customer with no changes to be made to the pattern, you can browse through our collection and place an order on the phone without ever having to set foot on Elizabeth Street (or in NYC for that matter). Alternatively, if you really like us and want to come hang out, you can peep the collection ahead of time so that you can spend more time in the garden and less time poring over swatches.
One caveat: as we all know by now, most monitors have differences in color representation, so keep that in mind if you’re picky about shades!

All in a days work: the story behind the shoes
Did you know that it takes approximately 130 people to make a single pair of precisely handcrafted Alfred Sargent & Sons shoes? Our Stylist, Niki, recently had the pleasure of visiting the handmade shoe factory to get a glimpse of the secret skills involved in turning a piece of raw leather into a fine shoe. From selecting the leather to clicking, then gimping, brogueing, tanning, lining, and then finishing; it’s a complicated process, but somebody has do it!
